The Albuquerque Gem & Mineral Club’s primary purpose is the exchange of information and the furtherance of knowledge of mineralogy, fossils, geology, and lapidary and to stimulate interest in the development of these studies.
One of the biggest benefits of being a member are the monthly guided field trips.
The club’s newsletter, the “News Nuggets,” exists to assist the membership in communications and to provide information on club activities.
The Albuquerque Gem & Mineral Club meets monthly, with great educational speakers on a variety of gem and mineral topics.
The club sponsors a gem & mineral show on the state fairgrounds each spring, the “Treasures of the Earth” show (aka TotE Show).
Members have access to a lapidary studio, to learn or to hone lapidary skills.
