Uncover the wonders of the natural world with the Albuquerque Gem and Mineral Club. Explore our newly redesigned website to discover exciting field trips, learn about lapidary techniques in our studio, and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Join us on our journey of discovery!
The Albuquerque Gem & Mineral Club’s primary purpose is the exchange of information and the furtherance of knowledge of mineralogy, fossils, geology, and lapidary and to stimulate interest in the development of these studies.

Monthly guided field trips in New Mexico and nearby states are one of the biggest benefits of being a member of AGMC.

AGMC has a special subgroup which meets monthly, with their microscopes, to appreciate and discuss micro minerals from New Mexico and around the world.

AGMC has a lapidary studio that will allow members to hone their skills in the art of jewelry design.

The club’s newsletter, the “News Nuggets,” exists to assist the membership in communications and to provide information on club activities.

The AGMC has a large and active Junior Club that is comprised of family members that are at least in kindergarten (age 5) and under the age of 18.

The AGMC meets on the fourth Thursday of almost every month, with the junior club and micro mineral subgroup also holding meetings.

The club sponsors a gem & mineral show on the state fairgrounds each spring named Treasures of the Earth (TotE) and is the club’s chief fundraiser.
